.: Mmmmmm...Pancakes
Gardner Lions Club is having a pancake and sausage breakfast ALL YOU CAN EAT on Saturday, Aug 7 at Sacred Heart Parish Center, 122 E.Warren St. in Gardner from 6 A.M. till 10 A.M. Aug the 7th is also the Johnson Co Fair Parade Day. The parade is only a block away from the breakfast. It begins at 10 a.m. Come early and enjoy both. Any questions e-mail gardnerlions@aol.com
.: District Fundraiser, and More Pancakes
There will be a district fundraiser at our first cabinet meeting on August 21, 2010 in Louisburg. Chris Cakes will be on hand serving up pancakes & sausage. Everyone is welcome to come down and have a great breakfast to help out the district, and attend the cabinet meeting if you so desire. More information will be sent in the August newsletter.
.: Linwood Lions Club Annual BBQ

.: Mobile Screening Unit
KANSAS LIONS SIGHT FOUNDATION MOBILE SCREENING UNIT IS GOING TO THE KANSAS STATE FAIR!
The Kansas Lions Sight Foundation will have the Unit in Hutchinson September 10 through 19 for screenings, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM each day. During that time period volunteer help is needed and the numbers are 5 volunteers to cover the operation of the MSU each day.

2nd Cabinet Meeting - November 13 - Heritage Center in Leavenworth
3rd Cabinet Meeting - January 29 - Power Play in Shawnee
District Convention - February 25-26 - Holidome in Lawrence
4th Cabinet Meeting/Social - June 18 - Tentatively at Shawnee Mission Park
For the zone chairs - Please try to schedule your zone meetings within two weeks after the cabinet meeting. Having these dates in advance should give you plenty of time to find a time and place for your meetings. The sooner we can get them on people's calendars, the more people we will hopefully have attend.
